2020 Fall Annual Meeting 7pm

Greetings to our Holt Junior Rams Baseball Family -

We hope you are well and safe! As you are aware, Mason Pony League cancelled our Spring Baseball Season this year but they were able to salvage a shorter summer season. HJRB had (4) teams participate in this summer season and it was fantastic to play some ball!

While we will not know what baseball will look like in 2021, we are proceeding as if we will return to a normal season. Our goal is to keep to our traditional dates for meetings, evaluations and possible indoor practices and Winter Workouts. We will keep you posted as the year progresses.

Our first order of business will be our ANNUAL FALL MEETING. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2020. from 7PM - 8PM. We are looking to hold this meeting outside at Field 6 (4200 Bond Street, Holt) at the grassy area between the Block House and Restrooms. This will allow for ample room to keep distance. We ask that you bring your own lawn chair. We will either reschedule or possibly move "indoors" to the batting cage area (open fencing for air flow) if we are expecting inclement weather.

At this meeting, we will review the previous year, share some new ideas and goals and most importantly - VOTE ON BOARD MEMBERS. We need your support to keep this program running smoothly and continually improving. This year the open Board Positions that need to be filled are: Vice President (2-year term), Treasurer (2-year term), Parent Representative at each age level (1-year term) and Coach Representative at each age level (1-year term). If you are interested in any of these positions, please email the Board at [email protected] with your intentions. A link to the HJRB By-Laws can be found on our website (www.hjrb.org) if you would like to understand the roles and responsibilities of the positions and the program as a whole.

We are also looking for parent volunteers to take the lead as Sponsorship Coordinator and Umpire Coordinator. Sponsorship is key to helping keep the cost down for our program.

As we started in 2020, our program would like to continue to grow and have a U8 team in 2021. If you know of any families with young players that may be interested, please have them reach out to the Board at [email protected], so we can add them to our email list for future correspondence.
